What will I be doing?
The Group holds a number of accreditations and, as it expands, will require further which all have set standards, processes and requirements for management information. This role acts as the ‘Gate Keeper’ ensuring that as a business we are compliant with accreditations, standards, regulations and legislation, relevant staff are aware of their responsibilities and that there is regular internal audit / verification against any of the requirements conducted, reviewed and any actions documented and resolutions put in place to protect the Group. The role works within the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental arena, supporting the Head of HSQE with the collation of data, conducting investigations and closing out actions. Assist with Internal audit verification and management of all company accreditations. On a day to day basis your duties will include:
- Assisting with management of the recruitment process to ensure all candidates are recruited to the minimum standards set by the Company and industry legislation.
- Carrying out Drug and Alcohol tests in line with chain of custody rules.
- Ensuring all requirements for the rail Sentinel scheme are met and monitored.
- Supporting the Head of HSQE in the process for incident / accident investigation and reporting.
- Assisting with co-ordination and recording of worker engagement process to ensure workforce maintain competencies, receive all relevant briefings and additional competencies / skills recorded.
- Working closely with and supporting HSQE Professional Head to continually review and improve Group compliance.
- Attending meetings with internal departments and external clients / sector groups/accredited and awarding bodies.
- Overseeing accreditations including NSAR, REC, RISQS, ISO and Equality Assured.
- Taking of / producing and distributing minutes for relevant meetings.
- Accurate data entry and producing relevant Management Information.
- Working closely with internal departments to train on HSQE Induction, create and develop processes and procedures.
- Where required, attending training and competency development courses as directed by the Company.
What experience would we like you to have?
Previous experience of working with NSAR, RISQS and ISO procedures is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have worked within a time critical, process driven environment within a HSQE/Compliance role previously. You should be assertive to act as gate keeper to protect the business from breach of any compliance, confident to deal with people at all levels.
