Construction Compliance Manager

Contract: 12 months (potential extension)
Location: North West/Midlands (Manchester, Crewe, Birmingham)
Schedule: 3 days in depots; site visits as needed; one weekend in four
Rate: Up to £550 per day (UMB)

Are you an experienced Construction Compliance Manager in the rail industry with expertise in track geometry and audits?

Have you successfully managed the delivery and compliance of construction projects in accordance with contract requirements, work specifications, and designs?

Our client is a well-established Nationwide Rail company who provide an exceptional service to their customers and are focused on continually improving this.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure quality delivery by collaborating with production teams and contractors.
• Conduct inspections and audits for compliance with health and safety plans and contract specifications.
• Promote best practices and implement new methodologies for compliance.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to the client and contractor staff.
• Contribute to compliance monitoring systems (scorecards, KPIs).

Essential Qualifications:

• Experience in construction, particularly railway engineering.
• HNC or equivalent in construction/engineering.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and CDM requirements.
• Proficient in Excel and data manipulation.
• Track renewal and audit experience.

• Membership in a professional body or degree-level education.
• PTS competency (AC & DC).
• Experience with track geometry acceptance certificates and engineering verifications.
