(Marine) Construction Manager

Ewi is the leading infrastructure recruitment specialist and are seeking a Construction Manager to join a large organisation. The Construction Manager will manage marine and land-based civil works as part of the Tunnel Dredging and Reclamation team. This role will be based out of their Rodbyhavn, Denmark office with occasional working from Copenhagen. A major part of this project will be tunnel dredging and reclamation works. The project will go on for multiple years and will start in January 2020.

Job Role / Responsibilities

• Reporting to and working alongside the Contract Director
• Overall responsibility for the site supervision and construction management
• Monitoring and supporting construction and environmental superintendents and engineers
• Ensure project is compliant with contract drawings/specifications
• Progress reporting
• Interact with stakeholders and internal teams (design, engineering, project control, contract director)
• Health and safety adherence

The ideal candidate will have

• Civil Engineering background
• Proven experience in Tunnel Dredging and Reclamation contract works
• International experience on major projects
• Experience in complex construction projects requiring strong organisational and muti-tasking skills
• Thorough knowledge of site safety protocols
• Capable of effective communication in English in verbal and written form, to varied audiences. Danish and/or German language would be an advantage.
