Do you want to work on a high- profile project in the rail industry like Wales and Borders?
Here at Amey we support the multi-billion-pound contract to run the Wales and Borders train service and to develop the Cardiff Central Metro. We will work closely with TfW to deliver a new era for passengers and for Wales, with more services, newer trains, better stations and a more reliable network. We will continue to provide support to TfW Ltd in delivering key projects such as the introduction of new rolling stock and the construction of the £738m South Wales Metro (SWM) transport project, a planned multi-modal transport system, which incorporates trains, light rail and bus services.
What will this role involve?
• The role will be to take responsibility for the submission and delivery of the Programme for all buried services searches across Package 1 for the CVL works.
• Liaise with 3rd parties for any service both operational and external organisations.
• Consider any necessary diversion requirements.
• Plan and co-ordinate all buried services searched including trial hole/slip trench investigations required for evidencing suitability for all foundation works.
• Manage and control the programme of works to ensure that both 3rd party integration/trial hole data and foundation programme all integrate correctly.
• Ensure a full audit trail is developed and maintained at all stages.
• Ensure all trial hole documentation is created and issued to the Subcontractor.
• Maintain and develop the critical relationships and liaison between Subcontractor and TfW for all Companies‘ Utilities information, requests and joint surveys.
• Ownership for the revision and approval of all subcontractor’s Task Briefing Sheets.
• Attend Weekly construction meetings providing progress up to date and forecast for the 3 weeks ahead
• Review, revise and agree content of WPP for the works with the Subcontractors
What are we looking for?
• Ability to supervise and lead the site team in the successful delivery of the allocated contracts for specific discipline (PWay, civils, signals)
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with site staff and project team
• Experience of railway construction management for specific discipline
• Supervisory Management training / qualification with significant practical experience
• PTS/COSS
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Able to drive, with a full current and valid driving licence
• Knowledge of Risk Assessment techniques
• Core planner skills 2 (Rimini)
• Engineer Supervisor
• PTS /IWA
