We are currently working with a major engineering consultancy who are looking to expand their engineering team in Cardiff by recruiting a Highways Construction Manager, who will be responsible for financial monitoring and control of the contracts, ensuring Health, Safety and Quality compliance is maintained, and the Companys procedures and objectives are achieved.

As a Highways Construction Manager your duties will include and are not limited to:

- Being the main point of contact for clients, site, and project managers

-  Making sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards

- Liaising with technical and financial staff, ensuring co-ordination between Clients, Principal Designers, Designers, Principal Contractors, Contractors, and other Stakeholders.

- You will be responsible for an element of Business Unit Performance e.g., Sales targets, customer service levels.

- Oversee and Direct Construction projects from conception to completion

- Section sustainability and growth of not only your team, but the wider Wales offering across Highways, Structures, Rail and Project Management

Job Requirements

- 10 years experience in Construction Management

- Educated to HNC/HND/Degree or Equivalent

- Experience of managing projects within a Civils/Water environment

- Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, programme and risk management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting

- Knowledge of the NEC3 and/or NEC4 Project Manager and/or Team Service Manager Accreditation contract including the Early Warning and Compensation Event Mechanisms

- CSCS Card

- SMSTS

- Experience of Pre-qualification and Tendering process for several multi-discipline projects

- Understanding of the Construction, Design and Management (CDM) 2015 regulations; Specifically, the Designers and Clients Requirements

- Highways Experience and technical skills

- UK driving License
