Telecoms Construction CRE

Location: Manchester

Rate: £340 per day, inscope of IR35

Term: Long Term Contract

They are looking for an experienced Telecoms Construction CRE to work on a large route upgrade, to lead and manage a Telecoms engineering team. You will ensure the projects compliant with current standards, and that the CRE role duties are discharged in line with Network Rail Standards.

Essential:

• Relevant HND / HNC academic qualifications or equivalent and appropriate (10 years) practical experience in the relevant industry
• Satisfy requirements of PTS medical.
• PTS
• ICI
• Project Induction
• CRE AtW / CRE NR F0040
• PTS Working Near or Adjacent to AC Lines
• Responsible manager briefing
• IOSH safety qualification (or equivalent)

The Role:

· To lead and manage all Telecoms engineering activities for the team

· To co-operate with the other engineering teams and disciplines

· To plan and implement Telecoms engineering activities

· To monitor and improve / develop engineering competence of the team - Telecoms

· To plan and undertake briefings on engineering issues - specific to Telecoms

· To assist the PEM / CEM with engineering initiatives

· To assist the Competence Manager with engineering competence assessments

· To undertake CRE (construction) duties (subject to nomination and authorisation)

· To create and review all necessary engineering site documentation (programmes,WPP)

· To plan and implement T&I processes - specific to Telecoms

· To ensure that critical engineering processes, such as TSI, CDM, CSM, CRT, speed raising
