Leading specialist planning and project controls consultancy, who are renowned for providing creative and innovative planning & project controls solutions to their clients, seeks a 4D planning expert to join their rapidly expanding team.

This is a key role for this market leader and require individuals who have experience of the integration of 3D modelling, ideally fully animated models, within a major linear infrastructure project environment.

The preference for this company is to find someone who will join the company on a permanent basis, but they are also open to contractors, as they are looking for candidates who would be interested in growing and developing a 4D planning capability for the company taking the current team to the next level.

The role can be a working from home arrangement but the suitable candidate will be required to work in their Manchester office for a minimum of two days a week as you will initially be working on a £multi-billion major infrastructure programme based there.

As 4D Planner, you will be responsible for:

• Provide leadership and direction for Planning and Project Controls in the Project Team.
• You will be responsible for technical and assurance support for Planning & Project Controls in the Project Team.
• Ensure an effective Project Planning & Controls Team that delivers to target, is efficient and customer focused
• The ability to deliver Project Schedules at various GRIP stages, developing from first principles and ensuring the schedules are maintained effectively
• Delivery of fully integrated 4D Model, to LOD 3 as a minimum (Synchro)

To be considered for this role candidates must have:

Expert in 4D Planning o Integration of a 3D Model with the project Programme to Level of Detail (LOD) 4 - (a fully animated model), based on the following elements:

• • • Detailed programme
    • 3D models
    • Work areas
    • Structures
    • Individual elements
    • Identification of constraints
    • Basic animation of plant and equipment movements
    • Identification of constraints, all using a minimum activity duration of 1 day.
• Relevant experience in the successful delivery of major projects of work in the construction and/or rail industries.
• Expert in all aspects of Planning, including development, management, and delivery of detailed Level 6 Project Programmes (Advanced user of Primavera P6 and developing schedules from first principles)
• Ability to understand and utilise CAD drawings/ specifications/ schedules to facilitate build up of the Project Programme
