My client is currently looking for an Administrator/Receptionist to join their team based in York.
The ideal Administrator/Receptionist will come on to board to help ensure visitors and calls are handled in a professional/ helpful manner and to provide any other general admin support duties.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and direct visitors promoting a professional and helpful manner, promoting the company image, values and behaviours.
- Logging and reporting annual leave and sickness.
- Performs entrance and access controls at a receptionist's desk for contractor staff signing into project worksites- and collates work completion details.
- Liaising with Projects Administrator for stationary orders, hotels, PPE and office supplies.
- Maintains records and filing systems; types and/or enters data into computer systems, including Office application or specialized software packages.
- Support Team Administrator and cover the role as require.
- General office housekeeping, ensuring Reception area and Boardroom/Meeting Rooms are always kept tidy.
- Receive and issue courier and mail items, mail sorting, franking and processing efficiently, ensuring items are despatched in a timely manner.
- Office duties including security passes, telephone lists, faxes, photocopying.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous Administration/Receptionist experience
- Previous history working in a civil engineering, rail or construction environment is desirable.
- Excellent timekeeping and interpersonal skills
- High level of communication skills
- Good organisation skills
- Good IT skills
