Our client is a well-known rolling stock company who has made a name for themselves as a professional outfit. With over 100 years’ experience they are known for being the world’s leading manufacturer of rolling stock components and supplier of additional sub-systems for rail and commercial vehicles.

The Candidate:

Looking for a new long-term contract? Looks like you are in luck today! Our client is hiring for Welders for their overhaul project and has several roles available for this long-term project. The ideal candidate will possess strong Welding skills and come from a solid Rolling Stock background with excellent experience within the industry performing aluminum welding duties where you have used TIG / MIG previously to a high level.

The Role:

Working alongside the Electricians, Mechanical Fitters and Vehicle Builders who will be running cables, installing power, fitting / installing mechanical components and removal / re-fitting of interior components you will be tasked with all aluminum welding tasks using 2m – 10m piping.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the quality of work by carrying out a weld test which will be sent for assessment to inspect the quality of your before being offered a contract. If successful you must be available for an immediate start and be committed to passing a medical and drug 7 alcohol test.

Rate of pay: £18 - £21 per hour (days, afternoons and nights)
