Role: Contract Civil/Drainage Engineer
Location: London
Rate: Negotiable
I am looking to fill a contract position with a large international Civil and Structural Engineering consultancys London HQ office for a Civil/Drainage Engineer. The firm is undergoing a period of expansion and their London office currently has more work than the current team can meet.
The role requires expert knowledge of WinDes MicroDrainage software, considerable experience in SuDS design, and the ability to act at a pre-planning stage i.e. whilst appreciation for various Section Agreements (38 and 278) is useful, it is not essential for this role. The ability to produce Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) for a wide range of clients is also a requirement. Currently, the firm has a broad range of private development work, with previous experience in this area being highly desirable. Highways drainage work is less of a focus for this particular role.
The role will give the candidate the opportunity to take part in a range of exciting projects and work alongside a multidisciplinary team of other engineers. Applicants will be proactive and able to work well as part of a focused and driven team who strive for excellence and commit to positive, sustainable change within local communities whilst maintaining an awareness of project costs and who can self-manage when required. This particular role also has the expectation that you can also assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new schemes together with the project management and financial control of small and medium sized projects.
