LTP Planner / Long Term Timetable Planner in Greater Manchester, North West, United Kingdom

My client is currently creating a brand-new future. Not just for their organisation, but one that will transform the way we all think about rail travel. And if you’re forward thinking, passionate and full of fresh ideas like they are, you could play your part in making it happen. Their vision is all about taking their customers in an exciting new direction, delivering a different kind of travel experience, and supporting the changing world of new ways of working.

They are also investing in their people too, and are committed to building a business that’s just as diverse as the communities they serve. So whatever your background, and whatever you have in mind for your own future, you may just fit right in.

About the Role:

Recruiting for two Long Term Timetable Planner roles – one each in York and Manchester offices - to support the work of Timetable Planning teams. This role will assist with the development and delivery of the timetable and train diagrams for the services that they provide across the North of England each day. You will contribute to the development and production of timetables and unit diagrams for the Long Term Plan (LTP) timetable, to achieve a robust and economic resource plan, which meets the planning criteria. In addition to the wider Service Planning team there are key interfaces with Fleet Engineering and Network Rail.

About you:

We are looking for candidates that can apply attention to detail to produce robust and resilient plans which align to our planning parameters, assess sometimes complex planning issues on the network, and manipulate available rolling stock to achieve the best passenger service all whilst ensuring compliance with industry processes.
