Procurement & Commercial Administrator
The East West Rail Alliance is a “pure” alliance consisting of three Non-Owner Participants (NOPs); VolkerRail, Atkins Global, Laing O’Rourke and the Owner Participant (OP), Network Rail.
East West Rail (EWR) phase 2 programme is in excess of one billion pounds and one of the most prestigious projects in the UK Infrastructure pipeline. It will provide a strategic route linking key centres of economic activity between Oxford, Milton Keynes, Aylesbury and Bedford.
Job Summary
To provide assistance to the Commercial team and support the co-ordination of the efforts of all parties involved in the execution of the project.
Responsibilities;
- Support the Assistant Procurement Managers with the governance process to maintain templates and liaise with relevant approvers to explain to package approvals required and obtain signatures
- Provide admin support for completed contracts and liaison with the NOP’s and/or contract approvers
- Organise new Contract Tracker in PowerBI, supported by IT & PowerBi team, manage the updates and communicate to the participants
- Organise a new leadership team report and support the Procurement Lead with the production of reports
- Support procurement programme monitoring and updates to relevant systems to support PowerBI management tool
- Attend each area procurement progress meetings and support the Assistant Procurement Managers
- Manage the small plant and materials requisitions process and call off order
- Support the Assistant Procurement Managers undertake finance checks for suppliers
- Support the Assistant Procurement Managers with new suppliers and contractor onboarding in COINS
- Develop an improved mechanism for KPI reporting for small and medium enterprises (SME’s)
- Obtaining and collating of Supplier performance scores from project teams then inputting scores into Coins.
- Printing and binding of contracts for issue
- Managing the distribution and storage of completed contracts
- The role is expected to develop to support either commercial administration and/or support for the major material purchasing for the project.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following experience/skill set:
Expected
- Experience of procurement or commercial activities and processing purchase requisitions and/or invoicing
Preferred
- Experience of procurement or commercial and processing purchase requisitions in an infrastructure or construction environment.
- Experience within a construction or infrastructure project in the UK
