Rolling Stock Project Support Administrator in Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom
Samuel Knight International are working with a leading Rolling Stock specialist who are looking to add an experienced administrator to their Rolling Stock Projects team on a temporary basis in Buckinghamshire.
This important position will specifically focus upon supporting projects within the company’s busy Wheelshop. Reporting directly into the Project Support Services (PSS) Team Leader, the successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Project Management function, aiding project delivery & optimising project-specific revenue opportunities.
Key elements of the role include:
- Creation of SAP Contracts in respect of Wheelshop requirements and customer forecasts /orders
- Booking in of wheelsets upon arrival
- Monitoring the order bank to ensure that all orders have been processed correctly
- Staging of materials in time for the wheelset build
- Costing wheelsets and requesting purchase orders
- Shipping and billing wheelsets in SAP
- Running the aged debt report and chasing overdue payments
- Sending invoices to the customers and resolving any invoice queries that may arise
- Ensuring that the forecasted sales are achieved each month
- Organise and use a suitable filing system for customer orders, route cards and delivery notes
- Archive all route cards on completion of wheelsets to satisfy auditory requirements
- Raise indirect purchase orders for non-production requirements
- Provide additional support to the Wheelshop leadership team and Senior Management when required.
Successful candidates will ideally possess the following experience:
- Professional experience within a large manufacturing / engineering environment, including supporting senior leaders at project level.
- Demonstrated experience of leading successful IT projects
- Good Project Management Skills
- A forward thinking, problem solver who can work both within a team and autonomously
- Successful experience in people management / leadership and motivation
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and project costing
- Prior knowledge and experience in all modules of SAP would be an advantage
- Knowledge of the Railway / Rolling Stock industry would be an advantage
