The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our team and deliver business benefits from a highly performing Asset Management Information System (AMIS). The Systems Aministrator will be administering and providing support for the AMIS and continuously improving it, monitoring and reporting on the quality and completeness of the information and making improvements where needed.
Key Responsibilites
Administration:
- Manage access and permissions
- Become the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the AMIS, answering users’ queries and resolving system issues
- Act as point of contact with AMIS supplier for resolving issues
- Keep the AMIS SharePoint administration site up to date
- Manage use of AMIS software on handheld devices
- Keep AMIS software and data up to date
- Carry out system configuration changes
Operational support:
- Maintain the AMIS risk register
- Maintain and update AMIS process and governance documentation
- Ensure users’ needs for training are met
- Work with AMIS supplier and management to ensure a high level of security for the AMIS system
- Hold regular communications sessions with stakeholders
Continuous improvement:
- Produce monthly reports with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support efficient management of the AMIS
- Work with users and stakeholders to improve KPIs and address issues with data quality
- Work with MML colleagues to identify, and implement improvements to the AMIS in line with business objectives
Improvement plan:
- Manage improvement programme and keep improvement plan up to date
- Work with the AMIS supplier to implement new functions, managing the plan accordingly
- Provide the AMIS supplier with data required for new functions
- Ensure new functions are tested and checked before go-live
- Monitor and report on progress with the plan, identify any delays to the plan and propose recovery measures
What You'll Need:
- Proficient in the use of Excel to create and manage records
- Experience working with databases
- To hold a higher education qualification or equivalent
- Ability to persuade colleagues of the benefits of change
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of logical and analytical thinking
- Good attention to detail
