Systems PM / Chief Contracts Expert - Metro

EWI are supporting a leading International Consultancy on a new metro project in India and are currently supporting with a requirement for a highly experienced and dedicated Systems Project Manager to oversee contract management for a major metro project in Chennai, India. This is a unique opportunity to join a leading infrastructure development company and contribute to the growth and modernisation of urban transportation in one of India's most vibrant cities.

Location: Chennai, India
Salary: $12,000 - $14,000 USD per month (Tax-Free)
Package: Expat Package (Accommodation, Visas, Medical Insurance, and Return Flight)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all contract management activities for the metro project's systems engineering components.
• Develop, negotiate, and administer contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and performance standards.
• Monitor contract performance, ensuring timely delivery and quality of all systems-related work.
• Resolve contractual issues and disputes promptly and effectively.
• Coordinate with legal and financial teams to ensure contracts are aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of contract deliverables and performance metrics.
• Manage contract modifications and change orders, ensuring all changes are documented and approved.
• Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure contract terms and conditions are met.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on contract status, performance, and compliance.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 20 years of experience in systems project and contract management, with a focus on metro or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in managing at least 2 major metro projects
• Strong knowledge of contract management and project management principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Chennai, India, for the duration of the project.
