The Company

Our client is a World-Famous Rolling Stock OEM who have seen significant growth in the UK market over recent years, winning contract after contract with UK TOCs and need you to give them additional support. They are delivering to 4 (yes 4!!!) new customers over the next few years and require someone with your expertise to share your knowledge of TSIs and UK regulations when it comes to testing Rolling Stock. This is your chance to make yourself indispensable to this Prestigious organisation and add some high-profile projects to your CV!!

Your Role

As Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the Test Procedures that will see these state-of-the-art trains fly through their approvals, ensuring the public can enjoy them ahead of schedule. Your Test Logs, Reports and Controls will be as accurate as they come and you will take great satisfaction in being responsible for the introduction of such high-quality vehicles. You will use the skills you have acquired over the years to analyse in-depth faults across traction and rolling stock liaising with Design Engineers and FRACAS Engineers across the UK and Worldwide to produce (hopefully) the most reliable fleets in the country. Travel flexibility is critical!!

To be awarded this fantastic Test Engineer contract you will need to demonstrate experience in report writing, in-depth analysis, testing and fleet introduction but you will also need to be someone who takes responsibility seriously. You will back your experience up with a HNC or HND in Engineering and you will happy to travel as and when required. It’s down to you, as Test Engineer, to get these trains out!!

And most importantly YOU WILL LOVE WHAT YOU DO. Isn’t it about time you had a Golden Spanner Award (or some more to add to your collection!!!)??

Your Reward

As the new Test Engineer, you will be rewarded with an initial 6-month contract paying between £350 and £400 a day, and knowing our client, the opportunity to step up to Senior Test Engineer is a definite possibility. Our client won’t let good people go so you can expect an extension if you perform as you know you can.
