Fire Team Leader in London, United Kingdom

TXM Recruit is working in partnership with an award-winning organisation on an exciting new project in London. They are looking for an experienced Fire Team Leader to become part of an ever expanding and skilled team. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a renowned account we collaborate with, Transport for London. We are looking for a Fire Team Leader to assist the Fire departmental team in successfully delivering contracts to a high standard and within the designated time frame.

Responsibilities 
  • To assist the Fire Manager with overseeing and safely managing all aspects of the specified contracts and ensuring compliance.
  • Ensure that the contract operates in a time/cost effective manner and that PPM programmes are met, PvA compliance.
  • To monitor all contracts to ensure compliance and analyse for potential efficiency's.
  • Maintain fluid communication with the client (s) via contractually required reporting and supporting the Fire Manager during scheduled meetings/contract reviews.
  • Assist in carrying out investigations in the event of any related incidents.
  • Ensure HSEQ procedures are implemented and monitored.
  • Ensure that all tasks are carried out in a safe manner via implementation of site audits/visits.
  • Carry out planned quality inspections and audits on PPM that have been completed and or in attendance while PPM is taking place.
  • View Maximo (computerised management system) and distribute reactive call outs on Fire services.
  • Analyse and interpret financial statistics and other data and produce relevant reports.
  • Research and investigate information to enable strategic decision-making by others.
  • Approve decisions, requests, expenditure and recommendations on behalf of senior people in their absence, according to agreed guidelines and policies
EXPERIENCE 
  • Strong understanding of BS5839, BS5306, BS9990, BS5041, BS3251
  • Work independently with minimal guidance; understand when to escalate an issue.
  • Lead with passion and enthusiasm to succeed which motivates and encourages the team. Demonstrate a proactive management style, with a can-do and problem solving approach.
  • Ability to defuse tension among the Maintenance & Reactive engineers, should it arise.
  • Able to communicate and present complex issues clearly.
  • An understanding of commercial aspects of the contract.
  • Experience of fire activities across multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Formal Qualification or equivalent in an appropriate discipline is desirable. Depth and breadth of experience will be taken into account where these qualifications have not been attained.
  • Capable of reading drawings and schematics.
  • London Underground working permits.
