Company Information:
Working on behalf of a tier 1 principal contractor in the facilities management sector to supervise and manage the Public Enquiry Office (PEO) team at their Kent based Police Station and whose role is to represent the company as a first point of contact for members of the public.
To be suitable for the position you must;
- Have experience in dealing with members of the public from diverse social and ethnic backgrounds
- Have experience of dealing with emergency or stressful situations and taking appropriate action
- Have experience of managing and motivating a team
- Awareness of police reporting procedures and system desirables
- Must be happy to be security cleared to Kent Police's security vetting process
Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have;
- Experience in a similar role
Role Information;
Responsible for the overall management and delivery of the Public Enquiry Office. Receive visitors to the public enquiry desk, ensuring that callers receive a high quality service at all times. Provide routine advice, information and guidance to members of the public where required. Accept and record incidents reported at the station (crime, accident, missing persons etc.). Monitor and maintain all records and information systems including CCTV cameras and alarm systems). Check that those requiring entry to the station or premises have the relevant checks made. Develop and implement working rota to ensure adequate resources at both sites. Manage staff cover for holiday, sickness and other absences. Carry out return to work interviews following periods of sickness absence. Undertake and record performance reviews of the PEO team. Ensure delivery and compliance of the contract KPI for the delivery of PEO services.
