A leading international brand in the engineering consultancy markets seeks to employ a creative and innovative systems engineering professional who has experience of working with the V-Model lifecycle (requirements engineering through to verification & validation) to join as a Senior Systems Engineer based at their new offices in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity for an individual who has some experience of leading small teams or, has the aspirations to do this as you will support the Department Leader with the leadership of the team as well as the growth of the service offering. The key purpose of the role of Senior Systems Engineer is to lead and inspire multi-disciplined teams and take ownership and deliver complex systems engineering programmes. You will mentor and lead a small team with the vision of developing them in the future stars of the business. You will work closely with client in delivering technically astute systems engineering solutions for their programmes and deploy high standards within the team. Using your strong knowledge of IT applications, such as Telelogic and DOORS, you will provide requirements and integration management on major engineering programmes. You will support the department with RAM, EMC, performance simulation and other systems engineering activities as well as supporting the development of systems architecture.
Requirements
To be considered for the position of Senior Systems Engineer, candidates will need to demonstrate and possess the following:
*Strong systems engineering experience covering the v-model lifecycle (requirements engineering through to verification & validation)
*Experience of delivering systems engineering programmes
*Strong communications skills with good customer and stakeholder management skills
*If you have experience of working in the rail industry this would be an added advantage but not essential
