Field Service Engineer – (South)

Home based, covering the South of the UK region

Up to £30,000 per annum + VAN (Potential up to earn up to £60k with overtime)

The Role

This is a field-based role, Monday to Friday, 37-hour week, covering a region south of Birmingham, from South Wales to Essex, so residing close to the M1 or M4 would be beneficial. Providing fault diagnostics,Commissioning, repair and servicing of Switchgears. Due to the nature of the role and sector, there will be the opportunity to gain overtime at weekends, and maybe evenings, with other Engineers earning c£60k

About You

You'll be able to work autonomously within a Field Based role, with experience of carrying out maintenance on Switchgears within a range of sectors. You'll have good working knowledge of low and high voltage distribution. Ideally from the Industrial or rail sector with an electrical fault diagnostics background. You'll have a fantastic personality to work with customers, and explained issues, and how they are being resolved.
You'll be based from home travelling to customer sites all over the South of the UK and maybe required to support other Engineers UK Wide. Due to the nature of the role you must be flexible to travel and occasional stay away will be required.

The Requirements

• Electrical Engineer (ONC / HNC / BTEC Level 3 is desirable)
• Demonstrable knowledge of low to medium voltage distribution and supply equipment with a good level of fault finding and repair knowledge.
• Understanding and experience with electrical capital equipment.
• Qualified to work in an electrical hazardous area or willing to undertake relevant training
• Ability to work independently with a good customer focus and commercial acumen
