Recruiting for a Programme Manager (Customer Experience) to work on a fixed term contract basis, for a leading client in the Rail Industry based at their offices in Leeds.
Job Description:
Manage the input to the delivery of the Trans-Pennine Route Upgrade (TRU) to support and ensure the delivery of a world-class customer experience ensuring the coordination of TRU workstreams related to customer experience and identifying project interdependencies and risks.
As a member of the Senior Management Team you will provide strong leadership, contribute to developing and delivering input to achieve defined business goals. You will be expected to ensure all work and outputs are executed to meet business strategies and unlocking pan-northern growth opportunities. The successful candidate will have significant experience within a senior management role and will have successfully led large complex rail infrastructure schemes of work and franchises with familiarity of TWAO or SCO processes.
With significant knowledge of the rail industry and being commercially aware, you will understand legislative, regulatory and best practice standards with the ability to identify risks and opportunities with a view of translating them in to future project/programme plans.
As an excellent communicator and stakeholder manager, you will have the reputation and ability to influence and present to the highest levels within and to senior industry stakeholders as well as the confidence to represent the client in public and professional stakeholder forums at a national level.
Candidates will have gained a degree, similar post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience, along with a relevant Programme Management qualification (e.g. MSP).
Deep knowledge of the rail industry and the relevant external landscape (legislative, regulatory, best practice standards etc.)
A track record of dealing with and influencing and presenting at the highest levels within and to senior industry stakeholders.
Ability to scan the horizon, identify risks and opportunities and translate these into future programme/project plans.
Significant people management experience with experience of leading a multi-disciplined workforce.
Reputation, ability and confidence to represent RNP/TRU in public, professional and stakeholder forums at a national level.
Leads the management of several stakeholders and Consultants to deliver a range of complex rail projects.
