Position : Assistant Signalling Design Engineer x 1
Overview
The Assistant Signalling Design Engineer will be joining an established signalling designers team with an excellent reputation for the production of detailed designs, scheme proposals and specifications.
This role would be ideal for an engineer looking to join an established consultancy working on the full lifecycle of signalling projects.
Responsibilities:
- Produce and review signalling design in accordance with company and network rail standards.
- Produce scheme/signalling plans, control tables, location diagrams, cable core plans and power schematics
- Prepare outline project and signalling design specifications
- Carry out pre-feasibility and feasibility reports, presenting findings to the client
- Provide signalling design estimates, your technical expertise and input for signalling proposals for new projects during feasibility and detailed design stages
Qualifications/ Experience:
- IRSE Assistant Signalling Designer Licence 1.1.500v1
- Appropriate qualification in relevant subject e.g HND/ONC/Degree
- Registration with the IRSE, ideally to member level
- Technical/project experience in signalling design
- Good knowledge of design principles
- Knowledge of Network Rail standards
- Strong background in the railway signalling industry
- Experience on Network Rail Projects
- Experience using CAD and Microstation software
