I am currently searching for a Chartered Structural Engineer to join a busy consultancy, searching to strongly develop their Glasgow Office with experienced candidates who have a strong background of working with private sector clients. The successful candidate must be Chartered, or near to completion, and looking to work at a Senior or Principal level.

In the role, you will be supporting the work of the lead Structural Engineer, and helping deliver a range of exciting and challenging projects. The Glasgow team predominantly work with large-scale new build and refurbishment projects, such as residential, commercial and industrial schemes. You will be involved with all aspects of projects from initial feasibility and early planning, through to delivery and construction oversight.

Furthermore, you will also have team-leading aspects, and you would be expected to delegate and manage workload of junior engineers and technicians. Staff progression and continuous learning and progression of staff members is also desired, and part of your responsibilities would be to ensure junior staff receive CPD in accordance with ICE or IStructE requirements.

Job Description:
-       Be chartered or well en-route to becoming chartered
-       Have excellent software capabilities, and at a minimum be able to use AutoCAD, REVIT and Tekla.
-       Have experience in managing and delegating workloads
-       Strong understanding of UK and EuroCodes.
-       Have a desire to fulfil a client-facing and business development role
-       Have experience with new-build and refurbishment schemes.

This is a permanent opportunity to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy on a permanent basis to work as a Senior or Principal Structural Design Engineer from Glasgow. Candidates must be chartered, and ideally be based in the Edinburgh, Glasgow, Paisley, East Kilbride, Hamilton or supporting regions.
