Position: Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer - OLE / Overhead Line / OHLE
Location: London
Salary: circa 45,000 per annum plus package including holiday, travel allowance etc
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an OLE Design Engineer to join one of the fastest growing railway systems company in Europe. This role will certainly enable you to fast track your career in line with anticipated future growth

Working as part of a small team, the OLE Design Engineer will be responsible for working very closely with an incumbent Design Manager and deputising in his absence.
The main objectives of the role are:
-To manage the OLE / OHLE / Overhead Line design activity as part of the UK engineering team, as well as manage production from non UK offices and teams
-To support in the development of the Business, providing leadership on proposals and projects execution concerned with rail electrification installation and upgrades,
-To represent the business through client meetings, presentations and conferences
-To ensure that the Design activity follows the best practices of the company in terms of quality and standards compliance
Duties will include:
-Undertake the design activities of the projects
-To respect the regulation of work, in particular that relating to Hygiene and the Staff safety
-To take part in the internal meetings (Quality, H&E, Safety, steering and coordination)
-To follow progress of the Design activities of Tenders and Projects
-To represent the Company meetings related to Tenders / Projects under its responsibility
-To implement the business plan
-To inform the Director of any event likely to modify the objectives and directives
-To take part in the staff management with the services concerned (recruiting, formations, gratifications, sanctions, planning)
-To prepare and present a monthly meeting "Design" with attendance of Business Development Director and Engineering Director
To be considered for this position it is anticipated that:
-You have proven experience of Rail Electrification Design Management (5 years minimum)
-You have solid working knowledge of Network Rail standards (including AC and DC railway electrification systems for Mainline and Underground applications), safety standards and operational practices
-You hold experience and up-to-date knowledge of OLE Systems and Design Tools
-You be a strong communicator and have good organisation, evaluation and decision-making skills
-Be HNC / HND / degree educated (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
-Hold track qualifications ideally, such as PTS
-Site based experience would be desirable
