We are currently dealing with a major Rail Engineering contractor who are looking at expanding their Civil Structures Design team in York, by recruiting a Design Engineer. Within the role youll work within the Design and Build environment working closely with the construction teams during pre-construction and construction stages. As the Design Engineer you will be able to take responsibility for your own work, working with technicians to produce contract deliverables utilizing the latest design & analysis software for conceptual and detailed designs.

This could be a suitable position for an experienced Assistant Rail Civil Structures Engineer looking to make that next step up, or alternatively a Design Engineer looking for a new challenge.

Job Requirements

• 4 + years experience working on Civil Structural Design environment
• Rail experience
• Experience with industry standard design software
• Aware of Health & Safety requirements and have the ability to design out risk
• Previous experience of working in a 3D environment.
• Previous experience of Design & Build would be beneficial but not essential
