The Role
Amey Consulting is currently working on a long-term upgrade of the core valley lines in South Wales direct for Transport for Wales. We are delivering the multi-discipline design right the way through from the optioneering stage to detailed design.
In readiness for commencing further work packages we are recruiting Design Integration Managers to integrate the overall design, procurement and construction programme through effective technical and programme integration.
The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring multi-disciplinary designs are continuously integrated throughout the development and that Inter Disciplinary Co-ordination design reviews are performed, thereby supporting the Engineering Management function.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to work within a team and the ability to encourage collaboration
- An understanding of project delivery to cost and programme
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels within the business
- A dedicated approach to working within and meeting strict deadlines
- Ability to integrate technical requirements and resolve issues arising.
- Experience of working in a design and construction environment
- Experience in understanding, interpreting and communicating the technical requirements of contracts, in particular, specifications and appropriate standards.
- An understanding of CDM regulations
- Previous experience within rail engineering
