Design Lead - Coordination (Rail)

EWI are supporting Leading European Consultancy who are looking for an experienced Design Lead for Design Coordination to oversee and drive the design activities for a major rail project. This role is crucial in managing cross-functional design teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and fostering effective communication among all stakeholders to achieve the project's objectives.

Qualifications:

• Degree Qualified in Engineering or similar
• Experience:
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the rail sector
  • Minimum 5 years in a design coordination lead role

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Leadership: Lead and coordinate design activities, establishing clear discipline objectives, requirements, and deliverable standards.
• Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage discipline plans, schedules, and work execution strategies.
• Progress Monitoring: Track discipline performance, progress, and milestones; oversee physical, design, and time interfaces to ensure project goals are met.
• Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate project meetings, document communications, and provide regular updates and presentations to key stakeholders.
