The Company
Ganymede are working in close connection with one of the most exciting companies in the South West, led by an articulate, motivating and successful Project Director that has an excellent background in delivering challenging rail civils projects.
Continuing the trend, our client has secured a complex and high profile multi-disciplinary project which will provide work to the region for over 2 and half years resulting in a much-needed total redevelopment of an important Rail station providing a vast improvement to the running of train services as well as an improved customer experience.

The Role
As the Design Manager and CRE (Contractors Responsible Engineer) for this project, you will be responsible for ensuring the designs for this project are of the highest quality to ensure compliance, feasibility and buildability whilst keeping within budget and strict time frames. Given the projects complexity, there will be a vast amount of both temporary and permanent works so a Temporary Works qualification would be advantageous.

You will need to manage all Technical Queries and Requests for Information from the Delivery teams and work with the CEM and project staff to identify engineering solutions where necessary. The role will be highly demanding as with all Station projects, there are a lot of designs to work through.

The Person
To be considered for this role, you must have worked as a Design Manager previously on large, multi-disciplinary Rail Infrastructure projects of values £10m+ and you must have previous sign off as a CRE for Design. You will most likely hold a degree in Civil Engineering and hold a valid PTS.
