DESIGN MANAGER - RAIL - NORTH WEST - PERMANENT

Design Manager required to join a well established Rail contractor in the North West to assist with the deliver of a number of projects under a framework agreement. The role will support the growing portfolio of design and engineering works, across a 5 year framework.

Requirements:

• CEM sign off, and previous CEM experience
• CRE sign off, and previous CRE experience
• Design lead for all projects
• Experience of working on civils, drainage and earthworks projects
• Experience of working on structures, both refurbishments and re-constructions
• Chartered Civil Engineer status would be beneficial
• Able to demonstrate an excellent track record of delivering a number of multi-disciplinary rail projects
• Over 5 years experience of working on the rail infrastructure
• Able to demonstrate a 10 year background in delivering rail projects from a site management or design management position

Duties:

• Overseeing design elements of a number of projects prior to handing over to delivery teams, and proving continued support throughout the construction process
• Working closely with the commercial and operational teams
• Managing and training of junior staff
• Temporary works coordination
• Hands on role, pro-actively overseeing the site management and other operational and project delivery staff
