Job Role: Design Manager

Location: Mansfield

Summary of the Design Manager:

I am currently recruiting for a Design Manager to work for a Tier 1 company based in Mansfield to support with tenders on design, evaluating bids, scoping design work and responding to tender questions.

Reporting into the Head of Design, the Design Manager will be responsible for design management and tendering.

Responsibilities of the Design Manager:

• You will be responsible for the provision of designs, technical advice and guidance on one or more of our projects.
• As a key member of the team you will ensure engineering excellence is achieved throughout the life cycle of the project, from pre contract tender input through design and implementation phases through to handover to the client.
• You will also manage yourself effectively to deliver against agreed plans and budgets.
• Supporting tenders on design, evaluating bids, scoping design work and responding to tender questions.

Requirements of the Design Manager:

• Degree educated or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within similar positions
• Significant Civils design management experience
• Experience of supporting bids
• You will possess a ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent organisational ability and have working knowledge of Railway interfaces and practices
