Our Design Verifier post is based within our Signalling Design Centre in Crewe. These centres of excellence undertake signalling design and system engineering activities that support numerous projects. These projects are multidiscipline, complex and are strategically important to our clients. Our engineering teams are supporting some of the most significant projects within the UK, including re-signalling and enhancement projects and the wider digital railway initiative.

As a Verifier you will be working on a wide range of The Clients signalling projects. You will be producing, delivering and verifying safety related signalling design deliverables at a principle and system level, in accordance with the specific client requirements, appropriate railway standards, technical constraints and Alstom company procedures.

Supporting the Designer Delivery Manager or Responsible Engineer, you will be producing and verifying delivery strategies, including hazard identification, risk analysis, subcontract specifications, tendering and estimates, system definition, requirements capture, compliance management, safety assurance activities, project programme, commissioning support, design investigations, handback and project closeout.

In addition to being able to demonstrate that you have the knowledge and experience to undertake the above, you will specifically hold both IRSE 1.1.160 & 1.1.550 Licences and have an HNC/HND in an engineering discipline, as a minimum. You will also be able to demonstrate their track record in building and maintaining constructive relationships with customers and colleagues alike and to evidence you are self-motivated and can both plan and prioritise effectively.
