Our client is now looking for an experienced E&P Design Engineer to join their fast-growing team either on a contract or permanent basis. Senior E&P Design Engineers will also be considered for this role. A permanent salary can reach up to £55k basic whilst contractors can work outside IR35 if that was your preferred route.

You will be required to attend the office 2 days per week in order to support the development of the junior members of the team. The purpose of the role is to deliver design and support from initial concept planning through to detailed design.

Principal responsibilities:

• You will be reporting to the Design Manager
• Prepare detailed technical specifications throughout GRIP stages
• Review and checking of documentation
• Produce 2D / 3D CAD drawings
• Complete cable calculations in conjunction with document/drawings
• Assist with client technical queries
• Prepare risk assessments
• Produce detailed programmes to provide time scales and milestones for the projects
• Production of Work Package Plans and Task Briefs
• Prepare operation and maintenance manuals
• Conduct site surveys
• Attend client meetings, IDC review’s as per project requirements

Key skills/experience required:

• A minimum of 3 years working in a similar role
• Signalling Power experience
• CRE experience advantageous but not essential
• Qualified to Degree, or higher level, in Electrical Engineering
• Membership of relevant professional body
• Knowledge of BS7671:2008 (Inc Amendment 3 2015)
• Skilled using software including: AutoCAD, Bentley – Microstation v8i – Project Wise – eB, Amtech, Adobe Indesign, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word / Exel, Relux
