Fawkes and Reece are recruiting for a MEP Design Manager with 10+ years' experience on major rail projects across London Underground, Network Rail and Crossrail.
This opportunity has arisen with a tier one contractor carrying out projects in London, ranging from £350m to £1bn plus. They are a global leader in construction and engineering; unrivalled in their experience of infrastructure, bridge, highway, tunnel and marine projects.

Role Outline:
-Acting as Technical Lead and Package Manager for all Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, Fire and Comms (MEPFC) design activities
-Ensure that all MEPFC design takes into key consideration the best value and minimum risk for the project
-Provide assurance to the client that all MEPFC design work is compliant and fit for purpose within the project's technical requirement
Key Responsibilities:
-Be the principal point of contact for all MEPFC activities (Package Manager)
-Co-ordinate between different design and construction teams within project (Package Manager)
-Identify value engineering opportunities and manage their delivery (Package Manager)
-Manage and coordinate the design interface and integration between MEPFC and other Design Organisations (premises, civils, L&E, track and tunnelling), PFIs and Third Parties (Technical Lead)
-Be the Accountable Person to ensure that the installation has been constructed in line with the principles of the approved design (Technical Lead)
-Monitor and confirm design information issued to Design Organisations is acceptable. Review and accept on behalf of contractor's design output (graphical and non-graphical) from Third Parties (Technical Lead)
Your Experience:
-10+ MEP Design and MEP Design Coordination
-Having worked on rail projects across LUL, Network Rail, Crossrail
-Expertise of all MEPFC systems, codes and BS + LU standards relevant to the project
Your Qualifications:
-Hold a degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Construction Management
-Current CSCS card
-Current PTS
