Due to strong demand for our Overhead Line Electrification design services AECOM are currently looking for OLE Design Engineers at all levels to join our teams in Swindon. As an Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) Engineer you will be involved in the design of the overhead contact system that provides continuous traction power to trains. You will learn the different aspects of the design of the Foundations; Steelwork and Wiring .
You will learn about the critical interfaces with both track (permanent way) and lineside structures. You will learn to apply the variety of standards which dictate the requirements and tolerances of the design that will need to be undertaken. Our Rail Business Unit is a 650 strong employer of rail professionals developing and delivering multi-disciplinary design solutions across permanent way, signalling, telecoms, electrical, mechanical, civils and geotechnical engineering.

*Minimum Requirements :
-
You will be trained to carry out or review conceptual design and detailed design on a wide variety of OLE projects, as well as being tasked with preparation of drawings, calculations and reports for outline and detailed design commissions. You will work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary project team.
*Preferred Qualifications :
-
You will hold a minimum of an HND Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (minimum) or equivalent with a BEng or BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent preferred.
