Salary: £50,000 to £65,000
Location: Glasgow, 2 days per week minimum, the remainder from home.

Requirements:

• 6 to 8 years post-graduate experience working in a design position.
• Substantial structural design experience or ancillary civils (both ideal).
• Structural design software experience such as TEDDS, Robot, CADS, Superstress etc.)
• Experience working as a Design CRE highly preferred.
• Rail experience. If not rail experience, business development experience essential.
• Familiarity of Network Rail engineering standards.
• CEng highly preferred.
• Current PTS, or ability to get PTS (personal track safety).
• Experience in leading projects and teams or mentoring junior members of staff.
• Must have full right to work in the UK.

About the role:
My client is an SME civil & structural engineering company that is looking for a senior structural engineer to support on Network Rail CP7 as a lead role within the team, preferably taking on CRE design responsibilities.

Primarily focusing structural/civil design work such as stations, culverts, bridges, ancillary civils and mentoring more junior members of the team.
