Role: SISS CRE
Status: Contract, Outside IR35
Location: Working from home, occasional travel to Ashby

This role is based within the Engineering team and reports to the System Delivery Engineering Manager.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong desire to continue developing technically by creating technical solutions and managing the associated risks. The individuals general and specialist knowledge and understanding will be utilised to optimise the application of existing technologies and best practices.
The Senior Engineer (Station Information and Security Systems - SISS) should have a minimum of 5 years experience and assists in the selection, configuration and deployment of Station Information and Security Systems. These solutions will typically comprise PA, CCTV and Help Point sub-systems, monitored and controlled via a common master station to form a complete, single integrated system. These systems are typically deployed within the Rail market.

What are my Responsibilities?
Provide technical support for SISS projects within the business.
To be an approved CRE
Delivery of work packages to meet budget, timescale, quality and performance targets.
Provide correct and timely technical and engineering input to projects and contribute in a hands-on manner to all project phases including systems analysis and design, implementation, validation and test, and engineering support to site commissioning.
Ensure that all work conducted by themselves is conducted safely and to the required standards.
Maintain and develop good relationships with internal and external customers, industry associations, suppliers and Partners.
Maintain and develop own professional competence

What experience do I need to apply for this role?
Proven experience in the installation design and deployment of Analogue and Digital CCTV Cameras, including PTZ systems.
Knowledge of Video Management Systems and in particular their configuration.
Knowledge of Digital Video Recorders / RAID servers and their configuration.
Proven experience in the design and deployment of PA systems, including long line.
Knowledge of TCP/IP and in particular Video and Voice over IP desirable.
Knowledge of Structured Cabling systems and Fiber Optic LAN systems.
Experience in testing of CCTV and PA systems.
Experience of the deployment of these systems within the Rail market preferred.
Knowledge of Driver Only Operation CCTV systems desirable.
Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Chartered Engineer or working towards this status.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
IT literate - Microsoft Office.
Full UK Driving licence.
