We are currently dealing with a major Engineering consultancy who are looking for a Senior Permanent Way Design Engineer to work within there track team based in York working on major projects for Network Rail schemes. As the Senior Engineer within the Track team you will lead and direct teams of Permanent Way engineers and technicians in producing engineering surveys, designs, studies and reports for railway infrastructure projects working within a team of 15 strong. 

As the Senior Permanent Way Design Engineer you will act as the Lead Engineer on high profile and critical track projects to ensure programme timescales are adhered to and delivered on in which you will manage and check designs produced by junior staff and design Permanent Way engineering projects in accordance with client requirements leading and coordinating teams formed to deliver projects, ensuring commitments are delivered.

Ideally his position is based in York, however there is an opportunity to work in Manchester and could suit and Engineer looking to make that next step up, or a Senior Permanent Way Design Engineer looking for a new challenge.

Job Requirements

• Detailed experience of Permanent Way engineering design
  
  
• Proficient at design software such as Microstation, Mx, BRT and ClearRoute
  
  
• Detailed Knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues associated with Permanent Way design
  
  
• Incorporated or Chartered Engineer (desirable)
