If you are a Signalling Design Verifier looking for a new challenge and want to expand your knowledge in design then join one of the largest signalling companies in the UK as a system design verifier. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on system designs, whilst maintaining your current design licence. For this role, you must hold an IRSE Signalling Design Verifier Licence and previous CAD package experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Verification and Validation of safety related Signalling design deliverables at a principle and system level in accordance with project programme, budgetary and technical requirements
* Verification and Validation of safety related Signalling design deliverables at a principle and system level in accordance with appropriate railway standards, technical constraints, health and safety legislation, Alstom company procedures, CDM Regulations, and CSM procedures
* Verification and Validation of generic design solutions to meet Signalling requirements
* Identify, capture and validate Signalling requirements
* Verify and Validate Signalling Design deliverables against all safety requirements
* Identify best practice signalling processes as part of a continual improvement plan to increase efficiency and minimize cost of non-quality and technical / delivery risk
* Co-operating as far as is reasonably practicable, with any statutory requirement placed on the company. Ensure that you do not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of safety or welfare
* Identifying and communicating (to the Signalling Process and Tools manager) any perceived shortcomings in Health and Safety arrangements, situations or processes that are considered to be serious or which may present dangers to yourself or others
* Working on safety critical or safety related activities only where this complies with relevant competence or authority to work, or implementing and documenting a robust mentorship plan
* Maintaining competencies and ensuring that IRSE Licence and Authority To Work are accurate and up to date

Essential:
* Computer skills including CAD
* Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with customers and colleagues
* Awareness of project commercial and financial processes

* IRSE 1.1.160 IRSE Signalling Design Verifier
* HNC/HND in an engineering discipline
* Verification of design deliverables to time and budget
* Management of configuration and change control
* Applying Network Rail Signalling and Railway Group Standards
* Verification of Specifications, Signalling Scheme Plans, Location Area Plans, System Architecture, Schematics, layouts and configuration
* Work package management including project programmes
* Leading small teams and design packages
* Verification of generic design solutions
* Tendering signalling design projects
