A Large Civil Engineering company with a revenue of over £100m and 200 + employees is looking for a Temporary Works Design Engineer in Reading.

The Project

As an experienced Temporary Works Design Engineer, you will oversee the design of temporary works on a large civil infrastructure project.

The role offers 3 days working from home and 2 days at site or in the Reading office

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following qualifications, skills and experiences as a minimum;

• CSCS Card
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience carrying out the role of Temporary Works Design on a large civil infrastructure project

It is also desired that you hold the skills & experience below;

• Temporary Works Qualification / certificate
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of a HND / HNC in Civil Engineering or a related field

Duties

• Perform site inspections and approvals as per the construction requirements
• Completion of quality assurance documentation for designated design activities
• Ensure the tracking of quantities, costs and budgets as part of the design process
• Provide technical support to the site personal and operation managers when necessary
• Work alongside the TW Coordinator to develop temporary works designs that comply with the client's design restrictions and on-site conditions
• Assist the Design Manager in the preparation / delegation of proposal designs for the tendering and marketing and temporary works associated
