Underground Station Design (Review) Specialist - Philippines

We are seeking an experienced Underground Station Design Specialist to support the development of key infrastructure projects in Manila. If you have expertise in station box design, top-down construction methods, and ideally experience with JICA-supported initiatives, we want to hear from you.

Role Overview

As part of our team, you will contribute to the design review and delivery of underground stations that meet both local and international standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing of station box Designs with a focus on functionality, safety, and efficiency.
• Implementing top-down construction techniques to optimize project timelines and minimize surface disruption.
• Advise the client on best course and aid in resolving technical issues
• Ensuring compliance with JICA project guidelines and integrating their standards into all phases of design and construction.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
• Supervise the construction.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Structural Engineering (or related subject)
• 10+ years experience on similar, underground metro projects.
• Proven experience in underground station design and structural engineering.
• A strong background in top-down construction and related methodologies.
• Familiarity with JICA guidelines, standards, and processes, demonstrated through prior project involvement.
• Previous regional experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Salary

Salary on offer will be around $9,000 per month NET with additional allowances for accommodation, transport etc.
