Interesting opportunity for a Document Controller to join a major civil engineering consultancy based in York ( with work from home ). The workforce gap has occurred temporarily, making this a Fixed Term Contract( FTC) for 12 months, BUT that means the client can be more flexible on your needs, and understanding of your skillset.

Its recognised that FTC for the individual, is not as attractive as a fixed position, but equally not all companies will invest in a candidate that isnt a 100% fit.    Thus, some compromise is often the result for successful FTC placement.  Equally, lets be honest a lot of FTC do move into a long term role as project teams expand.

Which means I would like to chat and explore with anyone that has the following skills or ability to undertake activities such as;

• Deploying a strategy for controlling information, managing data and systems, and ensuring the consistent accuracy of all records, data management, and documentation at every moment.

• Submit updates to the Senior Information Manager/Team Leader, offering a one-week forecast of the team's workload. This enables the Team Leader to effectively allocate tasks across the entire Information Control team.

• Assume a role that generates revenue by offering both technical and administrative support for document management to various technical and project teams.

• Take on the responsibility of managing information for a project, ensuring a significantly higher level of reliability in terms of security, version control, visibility, availability, and, most crucially, maintaining a controlled and reliable audit trail.

• Manage the configuration and daily operations of the Common Data Environment (CDE), including the addition and maintenance of user accounts and security groups

Ideally, youve managed other Information Co-ordinators too.   As always, I want to provide the client exactly what they want, but perhaps there are some other solutions here.  Consequently, I would love to hear from any Document Controller that has the gravitas and experience to be a Senior Information Co-ordinator. 

Project sizes here are interesting, complex, challenging but are managed very well, working directly for large infrastructure clients in the UK and across Europe.  It could thus be a good opportunity to move up the scale in term of size and status of organisation.
