We are currently working with a consultancy working in partnership with a Custody & Facilities Management Service who are entrusted with the care and maintenance of important buildings to both police and fire & rescue services. This group are looking to recruit a Building Services Electrical Engineer to work on site out of Kings Lynn Police station, Monday to Friday.

- Ensure all caretaking staff training requirements are met in accordance with current health & safety standards.
- Ensure that suitable cleaning staff levels are always maintained to deliver high quality cleaning standards within the station.
- Ensure that all service provisions provided for the use of the Client are always maintained.
- Undertake remedial electrical activities where identified.
- Compile reports when requested by the management team.
- Control of specialist contractors working on site ensuring compliance is adhered to.
- Work with the Senior Contracts Engineer to ensure the effective delivery of routine maintenance, services and repair, making good use of mechanical and electrical services, building fabric and furniture and fittings and equipment.
- Provide support to other Police Investigation Centre facilities in the absence of their usual site manager/engineer.
- Plan and undertake small to medium electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations.
- When required, cover other sites.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
- 17th Edition Wiring Regulation Qualification - Employer will pay for Candidates to be trained to gain their 18th Edition Qualification if successful.
- Electrical Inspection and Testing qualifications.
- Sound technical knowledge of Electrical Installation.
- Full clean driving licence - A fully funded company vehicle is provided.
- Detailed understanding of maintenance programmes including Statutory, Planned and Reactive.
- BTEC or other maintenance qualification would be advantageous.
