Job Summary
Due to strong demand for our Electrification and Power design services AECOM are currently looking for E & P Design Engineers at all levels to join our teams in London / Swindon / York.
You will be trained to carry out or review conceptual design and detailed design on a wide variety of Electrification projects, as well as being tasked with preparation of drawings, calculations and reports for outline and detailed design commissions.
The work will provide exposure to the survey and design of high voltage 50kV, 33kV and 11kV systems, traction distributions, traction substations AC and DC, Signalling power systems, points heating systems, DC contact systems, earthing and bonding and EMC. To a lesser extent you will be trained in Station / domestic electrical systems that interface with the railway (i.e. stations).
You will work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary project team.
You will be holding a minimum of an HND Electrical Engineering or working towards it .

- Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff.
- Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety, and/or code requirements.
- Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
- General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
- Performs routine duties; viewed as fully competent within limits of experience.
