Talentwise at Ford and Stanley the Technical Recruitment Specialists are looking for an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to become part of a growing company focused on refurb and overhaul of rolling stock.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join a company who are subject matter experts in the rolling stock overhaul industry. You will be part of a small team that cover all aspects of electrical testing, fault finding and function testing for the overhaul of old rolling stock.

Role and Responsibilities:

Duties could include the following:

• This work will see you focus on the electrical aspect of the role where you will be entrusted to perform testing on connections, control panels, fixings etc.
• Time is key as the project will be moving at a fast pace which will require deadlines to be met.
• Must be able to read schematic drawing and carry out basic fault finding and testing.
• Qualifications / Education required: Minimum requirements NVQ Level 3 award in an Electrical discipline or similar.
• 3 month rolling contract.

PLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION (this is standard procedure on Rail depots)

The Candidate:

- Experience is the largest asset here as you will be working as part of a small team.

- You must have a keen eye for detail and have pride in your work.

- If you enjoy having responsibility and ownership of the work you do then this is for you.

- Day shifts - flexible start and finish - Overtime paid after 50 hours at time and 1/3

Essentials:

- Must be Electrically biased.

- Be able to work on your own initiative.

- NVQ Lvl 3 (Electrical discipline).

- Experience working on rolling stock or transferable trade such as ex-forces.

Desirable:

- Multi-skilled Engineer.

- Rolling stock experience.

Closing Date:

This is a fast moving position which will be looking for interviews as early as 29/6/2018 and a start date of ASAP (subject to Drug and Alcohol and medical).
