PTS Electrician - Job Description

My Client are on the hunt for a number of PTS Electricians to help them deliver a whole host of varied projects and frameworks for their portfolio of rail clients.

About you

A predominately site-based role, you’ll spend the bulk of your time providing electrical support across the South East of England, working across a variety of E&P and multidisciplinary works including…

• Points heating
• LV/HV power distribution
• Station M&E and comms
• Rail E&P works including power supplies
• Lighting
• Testing and inspection

You’ll need to be comfortable working under guidance and supervision, communicating effectively whilst supporting colleagues in ensuring targets are met safely and on time. And, whilst you’ll almost always be working as part of a team, you’ll need the ability to act on your own initiative.

The ability to read and use wiring diagrams is a must

Must haves

Successful applicants will…

• Hold the Level 3 2391 Test & Inspection competency
• Have experience of both HV and LV termination
• Hold a valid PTS (AC/DC) card
• Hold the SSSTS competence, or be willing to work towards it
• Hold manual handling, small tools and First Aid at Work (preferred but not essential) competencies
• Have completed asbestos awareness training (in date)
• Hold a full UK driving licence, being both able and willing to drive
• Be able and willing to lodge away
