Job Title: PTS Electrician with Multi-Skilled Abilities

Location: Leeds Train Station

Hours: Full-time, 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We are recruting for an expereinced electrician to work in the building and maintenance team operating within a busy train station environment. Our mission is to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of all facilities, providing a safe and comfortable environment for commuters and staff alike.

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will hold a City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification and a Personal Track Safety (PTS) qualification, allowing them to work safely within the rail environment. In addition to their electrical expertise, the candidate must be capable of carrying out multi-skilled activities across all building trades to a basic standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance within the train station premises.
• Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to electrical faults and emergencies, resolving issues efficiently to minimise disruption to station operations.
• Undertake multi-skilled tasks including plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance as required.
• Collaborate with other members of the building and maintenance team to deliver high-quality service standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including any materials used and hours worked.

Requirements:

• City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) qualification.
• Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably within a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, regulations, and safety procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults effectively.
• Competency in multi-skilled activities across various building trades.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
