As a Rail Systems Specialist - Electrical, you’ll help us to make every journey better. Especially because the work you do will touch on all aspects of Heathrow life – we're actively involved in everything from sanitation and signage to rail and roads. Whether you're helping to create an inviting and well-functioning environment in the terminal or you’re making sure everything is safe and secure airside, you'll keep our airport running smoothly 24/7. Your Role Will Involve:
- Designing and delivering solutions to system and component obsolescence for HAL Rail assets
- Designing and delivering system upgrades to Improve system safety and reliability.
- Assisting with the performance and reliability monitoring of management processes FRACAS/DRACA
- Ensuring compliance to ROGS in the context of engineering practices and processes in the HAL Rail business
- Maintaining and enhancing the intellectual property rights of the Heathrow POD to ensure the systems remains at the leading edge of technology for Personal Rapid Transport Systems
These Skills are Essential:
- An exceptional technical knowledge and experience of autonomous guided transport systems
- A good technical knowledge and experience of station facilities including lifts, escalators, fire and voice alarm systems, CCTV, HVAC, LV and HV power distribution systems and control systems
- Experience in all technical aspects of rail engineering, including power systems, signalling systems, infrastructure systems, rolling stock, control systems and system interfaces
- An ability to develop robust solutions to technical business problems within all rail related systems
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
- A technical degree qualification in a relevant discipline or demonstrable engineering trade qualifications with equivalent experience and expertise
