Job Overview:
As a Dual Skilled Fitter, you will assume a pivotal role in the maintenance and servicing of the Rolling Stock fleet at the Glasgow Train Care Centre. This position demands robust electrical and mechanical competencies, underpinned by relevant qualifications and experience.

Rates:

• First 12 weeks: £27.31 per hour (Umbrella)
• Post 12 weeks: £32.75 per hour (Umbrella)

*PAYE is also an option.

Shift Pattern:

• Earlies and Lates on Day shift Pattern - 37 hours per week with overtime as of when required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute corrective and preventative maintenance tasks on locomotives, encompassing electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Undertake fundamental maintenance duties such as side skirt cleans, brake pad changes, and block changes.
- Perform primary and secondary fault finding and reporting.
- Address depot or fleet-specific requirements as necessitated.
- Administer DMU/ELEC service exams and input data into systems like Alista, SAP, and SES.

Requirements:
- Possession of a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in Rolling Stock, Aerospace, His Majesty's Forces Engineering, or Heavy Transportation.
- Proficient in detailed fault-finding methodologies.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

- Drug and Alcohol testing may be required during the interview process or on the first day of work.
- This is a contract position with potential for extension contingent upon performance and project needs.
