Due to rapid growth, our client is now looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their HV Distribution team in Manchester, working on a hybrid basis. Working with the Team Leader and Director, you'll be assisting with the bid process but most importantly, responsible for ensuring good quality work from the team in regards to the production and control of drawings and technical documents.

Principal responsibilities:

• You'll be delivering detailed and complex turnkey designs, working on high profile projects in the UK
• Production of all designs, calculations, reports & drawings associated with new or modification of HV projects from 400V (LV) to 33kV. (single line diagrams, key line diagrams, Layout drawings, technical specifications and other design deliverables.)
• Manage the production of project deliverables through a robust checking process
• Support the CAD technicians with the development of drawings
• Supporting Office / Discipline Leads with Starters and Leavers

Key skills/experience required:

• Previous experience in Electrical Engineering with a Power/HV background
• Some mentoring experience would be ideal
• Experience in the production of single line diagrams, key line diagrams, Layout drawings, technical specifications and other design deliverables.
• Able to operate in a diverse team and work without full time supervision.

Qualifications:

• Ideally MEng/Msc in Electrical Engineering
• Working toward CEng status would be advantageous
