We are working with a multi-disciplinary engineering company who now have a number of vacancies open for a Senior Lighting & Electrical Engineer to work on some of the largest Civil Engineering and infrastructure projects across Scotland. These projects can provide long-term prospects with some of the projects due to run for up to 10 years.

You will be required to work inside IR35 in these roles.

Principal responsibilities:

• Develop designs in accordance with the client’s requirements
• Represent the business in multi-disciplined project teams
• Preparing and checking the feasibility studies, appraisal, and assessment reports
• Development of engineering solutions and presentation of engineering options
• Produce and check design concepts, design details, drawing specifications and other technical documents

Key skills/experience required:

• Experience in the use of BS 7671 (17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
• Previous experience within the lighting and electrical technical field
• The ability to produce and/or oversee the production of technically sound engineering solutions
• Experience in undertaking project related tasks associated with health, safety, and welfare, e.g. Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
• Proficiency in discipline design software particularly AutoCAD, Lighting Reality and electrical cable calculation software

Qualifications:

• A Degree in Electrical Engineering or a HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering
• Registered full Member of the Institution of Lighting Professionals or Institution of Engineering and Technology
• Chartered or Incorporated status registered with Engineering Council (DESIRABLE)
• Achieved ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma (desirable)
